I. We believe in one triune God, who is one as to essence and three as to persons. We believe that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are each eternal, immutable, omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscience, holy, just, merciful, gracious, and good.
Deut 6:4 I Cor. 8:4 Genesis 1:1 Genesis 1:26
I John 5:7 Isaiah 48:16-17 Matthew 28:19 Leviticus 11:44
Isaiah 43:10-11 Malachi 3:6 Psalm 139:1-24 Romans 2:4
II. We believe that the Bible consisting of sixty-six books in two testaments is the only divinely inspired Word of God. That in its originals it was perfect in every respect, being free from error, both historically, scientifically, and doctrinally. We believe that it is the only authoritative document, and that truth is discerned by the plain statements of scripture and not the pronouncements of men or church bodies.
II Timothy 3:16-17 II Peter 1:21 Hebrews 1:1-2 Hebrews 4:12 James 1:18
III. We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was eternally God and in the fullness of time He was born of a virgin without sin. He was tested in all points as we are yet without sin. By His death on Calvary He secured eternal redemption for all, which becomes real to those who trust Him. We believe that Christ ascended into heaven with the same physical body in which He lived on earth, and that He will return to the earth in the same body, first to Rapture the church, and then to establish his kingdom for thousand years on the earth.
John 1:1-18 Philippians 2:5-9 I Corinthians 15:1-4 Acts 1:9-11 Psalm 110:1-2 Psalm 2:7-9 I Thessalonians 4:13-18
IV. We believe that the Holy Spirit is fully God with all the divine attributes of the Father and the Son. We believe that He convicts the sinner, and regenerates him when he trusts Christ. The Holy Spirit baptizes the believer into the body of Christ at the time he trusts Christ. He seals himself in the believer as the guarantee of their inheritance, and permanently indwells the believer. He is the believer's comforter, guide, strength, teacher etc. The believer is commanded to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Gen 1:2 Matt 28:19 Matt 3:11 I Cor 12:12-13 Eph. 5:15-18
V. We believe that there is a literal heaven and a literal hell. We believe in the eternal conscious bliss of the redeemed, and the eternal conscious punishment of the lost.
Gen 1:1 Matt 25:41
VI. We believe that the three members of the divine trinity, with no outside assistance from men or angels, created the entire universe and everything that fills it. We believe that the present earth was created in six literal days and not in periods of extended time.
Gen 1:1-31 Psalm 104:1-35 John 1: 1-4
VII. We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that on the cross Christ died for the sins of all mankind, and that works follow faith. We are saved apart from any works of merit of our own.
Romans 3:20-24 Romans 5:10 Romans 6:23 Romans 10:9-10 Romans 10:13 I John 5:10-13 Acts 4:12 Acts 16:31 Ephesians 2:8-9 Titus 3:5
VIII. We believe in the eternal security of the believer. We believe that we are kept by the power of God and not by our works or merits.
John 10:27-30 Romans 8:35-39 Jude 1:24-25 I Peter 1:3-5
IX. We believe man was created in the image of God, morally and intellectually, and that when Adam sinned in the garden he caused men to be born in sin. All men, with the exception of Jesus Christ, are sinners and in need of regeneration. When a person trusts Jesus Christ as personal Lord and savior, he or she is regenerated by the Holy Spirit, and becomes a new creature in Christ.
Genesis 1:26 Romans 5:12 Isaiah 7:14 Romans 8:3
II Corinthians 5:17
X. We believe that angels are separate created beings from humans, and are organized with differing roles and responsibilities by God. Included in the angelic orders are Cherubim, Seraphim, Archangels etc. The angels serve God in various ways, including carrying messages for God in Bible times, and ministering to the saints, and that they will be especially active during the tribulation period. They announced the birth of Christ to the shepherds, Joseph and Mary, and even Zechariah. They are said to be greater in power and might than men, but there is no redemption for angels as for men.
Hebrews 1:4-14 Matthew 4:10-11 Matthew 13:41 Psalm 103:20
Mark 8:38 Luke 2:8-15
XI. We believe that Christ will return, first for the church prior to the tribulation, and that after the tribulation, which He will end with His return to the earth, He will establish His reign on this present earth for one thousand years, after which, He will judge the wicked dead of all ages to determine the degree of their eternal punishment. The church will be judged at the judgment seat of Christ after the rapture and before the return with Christ.
I Thessalonians 4:13-18 I Thessalonians 1:10
II Thessalonians 2:1-2 I Thessalonians 5:8-10
John 14:1-6 I Corinthians 15:51-57
XII. We believe the church is God's body of people on the earth today. The Bible distinguishes between Jew, gentile, and the church. The church is both universal and local. The universal church includes all who have trusted Christ from the time the church started at Pentecost until it is raptured. The local church is a body of scripturally baptized believers who have covenanted to regularly assemble for worship, and the observance of the ordinances, and for the propagation of the gospel throughout the world. The officers of the church are the pastor and deacons. The term pastor, bishop and elder all refer to the pastor, and not to separate groups of leaders. We believe that every person who trusts Christ should unite with a scripturally organized local church which is God's agent on earth for the propagation of the gospel.
Matthew 16:18 I Corinthians 12:12-13 I Timothy 3:15 Ephesians 1:22-23
XIII. We believe that Christ gave two ordinances to the church: baptism and the Lord's supper. The Lord's Supper is a memorial, representing the body and blood of Christ. The Lord's Supper should not be taken by those who are unsaved. Visitors may be invited to partake of the Lord's Supper if they meet scriptural qualifications. Baptism pictures the death burial and resurrection of Christ and the believer's identification with Christ. We believe that the only scriptural mode of baptism is by immersion. Baptism should follow and not precede salvation and is not a condition for salvation. Baptism is not for infants but only for those who have professed faith in Jesus Christ.
Matthew 26:26-29 I Corinthians 11:23-34 Matthew 3:13-17 Romans 6:3-6
XIV. We believe that God has a special plan for Israel. God promised Abraham to make of Him a great nation, and to send the Messiah through him. God promised David that He would send the Messiah through his seed to establish David's throne on the earth. Christ offered his generation the kingdom on the condition of repentance, but they failing to repent, and crucifying Christ had the offer withdrawn, to be given to the tribulation generation of the Jew. After the great white throne of judgment following the thousand-year reign of Christ, God will make new heavens and new earth wherein dwells righteousness.
Genesis 12:1-3 II Samuel 7:10-17 Micah 5:2 Isaiah 9:6-7
Romans Chapters 9, 10, 11
XV. We believe God instituted and defines what marriage should be. We believe that God has commanded that no sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of: adultery, bestiality, bisexuality, fornication, homosexuality, incest, lesbianism, and pornography are sinful perversions of God’s gift of sex. We believe that God disapproves of and forbids any attempt to alter one’s gender by surgery or appearance. We believe that the only Scriptural marriage is the joining of one man and one woman.
